About

Orrery is an unofficial, fan-made map and timeline of the Warhammer 40,000 galaxy — a space–time guide to who was where, and when.

It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Games Workshop.

What this is

Most lore sites are encyclopedias. Orrery is built around a different question: how do characters, worlds, and eras connect?

• A 3D galactic map you can scrub through time

• Dossier pages for locations and characters with original researched blurbs

• Graph panels for contemporaries, appearances, and events — only where the research supports the edge

• Deep links that open the map at the right place and era

Soft Launch

This is an early public Soft Launch. Coverage is uneven on purpose: we ship researched density first (campaign packs and named leftovers with long-tail demand), not a thin mirror of every wiki stub.

Some pages stay thin or noindexed until they meet the quality bar.

How research works

Blurbs are written for this project — not pasted wiki mirrors. Internal links and map relationships are the trust layer: hierarchy, contemporaries, visits, and era-aware map links.

We do not publish on-page “Sources” citation lists. That choice is deliberate — the unique value is the space–time graph, not another scrape-attribution wall.
