Unofficial galactic atlas
Warhammer 40,000 Encyclopedia, Galaxy Map and Timeline
40k Orrery is an unofficial, fan-made reference to the Warhammer 40,000 and Horus Heresy setting. It records who was where, and when: each character, world and event is placed on a three-dimensional map of the galaxy and on a timeline spanning the thirtieth to the forty-second millennium.
The galaxy map
An interactive 3D map of the Warhammer 40,000 galaxy, charting segmentums, sectors, systems and worlds. The map spans the Imperium of Man from Terra in Segmentum Solar to Cadia, at the Cadian Gate beside the Eye of Terror, and records the state of the galaxy across the timeline from the Great Crusade to M42.
Locations
A gazetteer of worlds, systems, sectors and segmentums, each positioned on the 3D map and linked to the characters who appear there and the events recorded at each location.
The timeline
A chronological record of about 190 events, from the Age of Strife through the Great Crusade and the Horus Heresy to the Indomitus Crusade, M30 to M42. Recorded conflicts include the Siege of Terra and the Battle of Calth.
Characters
An index of characters from the Warhammer 40,000 and Horus Heresy setting, arranged by faction. Entries span the Primarchs and their Legions, officers and agents of the Imperium, and the xenos warlords and champions who oppose them, from Horus Lupercal to lesser-known inquisitors and commanders.
