Memnyr Strategist

A Memnyr Strategist is an Ironkin of the Votann that advises a Kâhl and analyses battlespace information to disrupt an enemy’s plans. The rank is among the highest a machine-kin can hold. It is analytical rather than martial: the Strategist is not a warlord but an officer charged with reading every available signal in the battlespace.

Memnyr Strategists compare Kin yields against enemy emissions, intercept communications, and give advice that appears precognitive because their calculations conclude before events do. Some sit on a Kindred’s Votannic Council as chief strategists. All can move from scheduling ore extraction to planning offensive operations when a hold comes under attack.

The Kin do not venerate genius; they treat it as a resource to be budgeted, and the Memnyr Strategist is that principle in practice. Its standing derives from function rather than command of forces: high rank among machine-kin and, in some Kindreds, a place on the Votannic Council.
