Sevorak

Sevorak is an Apothecary of the Death Guard Legion, recorded as active during the Horus Heresy civil war of the early 31st millennium.

Within the Death Guard, the Apothecarion functioned as both the Legion’s medical corps and custodian of its gene-seed, the biological material from which future Space Marines were cultivated. Sevorak is recorded among the officers who held this office, tasked with the battlefield recovery of the fallen, extraction of gene-seed organs, and treatment of wounded battle-brothers during the Legion’s campaigns of the Great Crusade and the subsequent civil war known as the Horus Heresy, in which the Death Guard sided with the Warmaster Horus against the Emperor of Mankind. Accounts of his specific engagements are limited, and later tradition offers little further detail on his individual actions.

Sevorak’s standing rests less on individual renown than on his representation of the Apothecarion tradition within a Legion whose transformation, in the wake of the Heresy, altered the nature and purpose of its medical caste. He is not recorded as a commander of note, and his historical significance is chiefly that of a documented specialist officer within the Death Guard’s structure during the period of the Horus Heresy.
