The Blue Scribes

The Blue Scribes, P’tarix and Xirat’p, are two Blue Horrors sent by Tzeentch on a Disc to record every spell in existence. Their purpose is to write down each spell before anyone else can use it. Neither can complete the task alone, since one cannot read and the other cannot write, and the pair remains difficult to steer.

The Scribes copy, quarrel and cross realspace, the material universe, leaving trails of parchment and accidental fireballs behind them. Tzeentch does not intend the archive to be finished, because a completed collection would represent a single point of failure. Their function lies in the journey and the disorder it causes, together with the occasional flawless transcription that leaves a world worse off.

Other daemons regard the Scribes as comic figures. Wizards whose unique workings have been taken by them regard the pair differently.
