Wazdakka Gutsmek

Wazdakka Gutsmek is an Ork Mek and warboss of the Speed Freeks, distinguished by decades spent astride a single, continuously rebuilt battle-bike. A Mek is an Ork whose instinct runs to engineering rather than raw muscle, and among the Speed Freeks — the loose brotherhood of Orks who value velocity and engine-noise above territory — Wazdakka’s standing rests on craft and endurance rather than on a conquered domain or a seated throne.

His rise is recorded as a matter of accumulation rather than conquest. Wazdakka is said to have added engine after engine, gun after gun, to a single bike over a span of years the Orks themselves do not trouble to count, until the machine outgrew any ordinary reckoning of what a bike should be. Orks who attempt to copy its construction are described as dying in the attempt, their frames unable to bear the load Wazdakka’s has carried; he alone is recorded as continuing to ride it. Among the Speed Freeks this feat has taken on a devotional cast, with stretches of open road treated as something to be revered rather than merely crossed.

Wazdakka is not recorded as bending to the summons of Ghazghkull Thraka, the Ork warlord whose Waaaghs! draw scattered greenskin forces into a single crusade; where Ghazghkull gathers, Wazdakka is defined by his refusal to stop moving long enough to be gathered. This makes him a contemporary rather than a subordinate of the great Waaagh!-callers, a figure other Speed Freeks measure themselves against without claiming to command him. No homeworld or fixed warband is attributed to him, consistent with a Speed Freek’s life spent on whatever world offers road, wreckage, and a fight.

In the present era Wazdakka is recorded as still active, his survival itself treated by Orks as the substance of his reputation rather than any single victory or campaign. Accounts of his deeds remain sparse and largely anecdotal beside the fuller campaign histories kept for Ghazghkull and other Waaagh!-leaders, and this dossier does not extend beyond what is attested: a Mek, a bike, and an unbroken run of road behind him.
