Battle of Hellabore
The Battle of Hellabore, also called the Hellabore Assault, was fought in 867.M41 on the Imperial world Hellabore between Craftworld Iyanden and the Imperium. No segmentum, sector, or system is recorded for the world. Iyanden’s forces killed Hellabore’s planetary council to prevent a foreseen damnation. The Imperium retaliated by deploying the Crimson Fists Fourth Company under Captain Alessio Cortez. Most of Iyanden’s living warriors had already entered the Webway when the Astartes arrived. A remaining host of Ghost Warriors under the Wraithlord Toralven Gravesong held the Crimson Fists back from the world’s Webway nexus while the last living Eldar escaped. During the fighting Cortez broke through Eldar lines and completed his mission despite seventeen wounds. Iyanden afterwards mourned Gravesong’s stand.
