Battle of Iota Horologii

The Battle of Iota Horologii was fought shortly before the Horus Heresy; no year is recorded. Acting on the orders of Malcador, Mortarion led the Death Guard, together with a detachment of the Sisters of Silence, against a Jorgall cylinder-world in the Iota Horologii system. The Death Guard fought on through the ships’ poisonous air. Second Company commander Ullis Temeter disrupted the Jorgall vanguard vessels, while First Captain Calas Typhon fought beside Mortarion. Ignatius Grulgor attacked the drive cluster, and Fourth Captain Nathaniel Garro, elements of the Seventh Company, and the Oblivion Knight Amendera Kendel destroyed the psychic hatcheries. The Jorgall were annihilated. The Sisters of Silence then purged the remainder of the system under separate orders.
