Defence of Parathen City

The Defence of Parathen City, also recorded as the defence of Paratheon City, was an action of 802.M41 in which the Iron Hands held Parathen City against forces of Chaos that included a champion of the World Eaters. No world, sector or system is recorded for the city. During the fighting the World Eaters’ champion Varlag the Butcher challenged Kardan Stronos to personal combat. Stronos calculated that the most efficient way to kill him was to shoot him through the head, but instead answered Varlag’s bellowed challenge with a battle-cry of his own and struck off his head with a single blow of the Axe of Medusa.
