Hunt for Doomrider

The Hunt for Doomrider was a Great Hunt of the White Scars led by Kor’sarro Khan, Master of the Hunt, against the Daemon Prince Doomrider, which ended on the Imperial world of Shaka VI. Doomrider, a Daemon Prince of Slaanesh who rides a daemonic bike, is recorded as a former Chaos Space Marine of uncertain origin: some accounts make him a member of the Emperor’s Children during the Battle of Terra, others a renegade from another Chapter after the Great Scouring. Several earlier Masters of the Hunt had failed to bring back his head, and some had their own heads taken and mounted on his bike. Doomrider escaped Kor’sarro on four occasions before he was tracked to Shaka VI, which a Chaos cult empowered by the Daemon Prince had nearly overwhelmed. Kor’sarro led his warriors against the cult to reach Doomrider. The Daemon Prince defeated him in combat and tried to drag him through a portal into the warp, but Kor’sarro seized Doomrider by the neck and tore off his head, and the portal closed before they reached it. The severed head remained alive. When it tried to speak, Kor’sarro crushed its jaw and returned to his fellow White Scars on the battlefield. With the hunt concluded, the White Scars carried the still-living head of Doomrider back to Chogoris.
