Legion Wars on Harmony

The Legion Wars on Harmony, a daemon world within the Eye of Terror, began after the Horus Heresy, when Abaddon led the Black Legion against Canticle City. Canticle City was the stronghold of the Emperor’s Children on Harmony, where Fabius Bile kept a clone of the primarch Horus. It was against this stronghold, and the clone kept within it, that Abaddon directed his assault. In the course of the fighting that followed, Abaddon took up the Talon of Horus and boarded the Emperor’s Children cruiser Fleshmarket, pressing the attack into the heart of the vessel. Aboard it he killed mutated adolescent clones of the primarchs, one after another, before confronting and finally impaling the clone of Horus itself. The dying clone, in its last moment, remembered him as a son; Abaddon answered that he was not his son any longer. His forces then purged the Emperor’s Children from Harmony entirely, driving the remnants of the Legion from the daemon world. In the aftermath, Abaddon was proclaimed Horus’s successor among the Black Legion. He then began what he himself called the Long War.
