Pale Stars campaign
The Pale Stars campaign was an episode of the late Horus Heresy in the Pale Stars, a collection of systems formally known as Mare Stellum Pallidus, the Sea of Pale Stars, in the Maelstrom Zone of Ultima Segmentum. Emperor’s Children forces fleeing the destruction of their homeworld Chemos took up residence in the region, and the Salamanders Legion moved against them. In 012.M31 Fulgrim’s followers summoned him, by then a daemon prince of Slaanesh, so that he might watch mutated Inductii, recruits of the Legion, fight the Salamanders. Fulgrim personally killed the Salamanders commander Brant Hesioth, then vanished in an explosion likened to a supernova.
