Proxima Rebellion
The Proxima Rebellion was an uprising on the world of Proxima in 934.M31 in which rebels held Space Wolves captive within the Dreadsun Fortress. Bjorn the Fell-Handed, then Great Wolf of the Space Wolves, led a raid that freed those brothers, but the wounds he took in the fighting were beyond the Chapter’s Apothecaries. To preserve his life he was interred in a Dreadnought sarcophagus, and, judging that he could no longer fulfil the office, he abdicated as Great Wolf. The rebellion thus marks both a successful relief of trapped Space Wolves and the end of Bjorn’s centuries of command in the flesh.
