Raid on the Arcadian Librarium

The Raid on the Arcadian Librarium occurred in the late 41st millennium, during the 13th Black Crusade, when Ahzek Ahriman led the warband known as the Prodigal Sons to Arcadia, a Harlequin world within the Eye of Terror also known as the Planet of Law. Ahriman’s object was to plunder the Arcadian Librarium and thereafter to pass into the Webway in pursuit of the Black Library. To achieve this he first had to overcome the Harlequins who held and guarded the world. In the course of the fighting against the Harlequins, the warband took into its company the amnesiac Blood Ravens Librarian Rhamah, who thereafter fought alongside Ahriman’s forces. Rhamah later fell to the service of Chaos and was killed by the Solitaire Karebennian. Gabriel Angelos led a Blood Ravens command group to Arcadia, guided through the warp by the warlock Taldeer, after the Webway gate on Lorn V that had formerly given access to the world was destroyed. Angelos and his company came with the purpose of recovering Rhamah. Ahriman did not succeed in entering the Black Library, and he himself escaped the engagement. The raid is recorded as a scheme foiled by the combined opposition of the Blood Ravens and the Harlequins.
