Adrastapol
Adrastapol is a knight world in the Majestis System and the home of the Knights of Adrastapol, whose society was once divided among six noble houses.
Each house honoured a Noble Beast as its patron and heraldic emblem, maintaining its own line of knightly pilots sworn to the defence of the world and, through it, the Imperium. Three of the six, House Manticos, House Chimaeros and House Wyvorn, fell to the corruption of Chaos; once their taint was confirmed, they were purged from Adrastapol’s knightly rolls by the surviving houses.
Adrastapol also withstood two separate Ork invasions, remembered on the world collectively as the Ork Wars. Accounts of the fighting are not detailed beyond this, but the invasions are recalled as a shared trial that fell to the households left standing after the Chaos purges.
In the present era, House Draconis holds primacy among the surviving lines and occupies the Draconspire throne, the seat from which Adrastapol’s knightly affairs are governed. As a knight world, Adrastapol answers to the Imperium through the lances of its noble houses rather than through Astra Militarum regiments; it is not a Guard recruiting hive, and its martial tradition is counted in knights and war engines, not levied soldiery.
