Agathon

Agathon is a hive-and-fortress world in the Coronid Deeps of the Gothic Sector that garrisons more than ten million Imperial Guard. It anchored the Agathean Domain, a grouping in the Coronid Deeps that lay beside Port Maw. The map places the world in the Gothic Sector with high confidence.

Crusade fleets and the MaSade rogue traders brought Agathon into the Imperium. A coup during the Horus Heresy kept the world loyal, although the fighting in the Coronid region drained its resources.

The size of its garrison makes Agathon a major concentration of Imperial military strength in the Coronid Deeps. The Battlefleet Gothic timeline names no Gothic War battle fought for Agathon itself. This overlay therefore records no Blackstone or Planet Killer episode there.
