Andronicus Prime

Andronicus Prime is a dead forest world in the Andronicus System, Jericho Reach, whose biosphere was destroyed when an unknown vessel shattered its moon. The vessel was of city-like size, and the planet, formerly an Imperial garden world, is associated with the Canis Salient. It is distinct from Watch Station Andronicus, which was established later.

The destruction of the moon produced an impact winter that killed the planet’s biosphere within days. Deathwatch kill-teams subsequently investigated a Genestealer-related disturbance (a “Darkling stir”) on the frozen surface, and Watch Station Andronicus was placed in the nearby asteroid field. Some hobby-community notes also locate a presence of the Sa’cea T’au on the ruined world, but the published core account describes a dead planet with a Deathwatch installation nearby.

Andronicus Prime remains notable within the Jericho Reach as a forest world whose loss is attributed to a single act of destruction by an unidentified vessel. Unofficial summaries treat it as a location within the Andronicus System and keep it separate from watch-station-andronicus.
