Archaea System

The Archaea System is a star system in the Badab Sector whose ice moon, Jahga, serves as the base of the Star Phantoms Space Marine Chapter. Archaea IV is the system’s named planet. The Chapter does not occupy a fortress or palace on Jahga; it lives aboard the scuttled barge Memento Mori, which rests on the moon.

Jahga became the Star Phantoms’ alternative home after the Hrud destroyed their former base at Haakonath. The Chapter was left without a home world, and the political settlement that followed the Badab conflict assigned it to the cold moon, an arrangement presented as a reward. The system lies close to the Maelstrom.

The system remains on the map because the Star Phantoms required a place to dock after the Badab settlement. It is not a founding world of the Chapter and holds no status as a shrine. Jahga is properly described as a moon, and its role as a refuge does not give it the standing of a Chapter’s original homeworld.
