Arimaspia System

The Arimaspia System is an industrial system of the Lysades in the Gothic Sector, notable chiefly for the Chrysalis Shipyards in orbit. The shipyards, rather than the inhabited world below, constituted the principal strategic value of the system.

Between 150.M41 and 153.M41, the Chrysalis Shipyards changed hands eighteen times. Traitor Marines and Navy yard crews fought a three-week corridor war through the same yards. The planet itself functioned as an industrial node during the Gothic War.

The system remains notable as a dock that the 12th Black Crusade could not leave alone. The planet is not a Blackstone host and is not a cardinal world, although later video-game labels apply that designation. Unofficial summaries retain the Lysades parent and do not reclassify the world as a cardinal see.
