Au’taal

Au’taal is a verdant T’au sept of the Second Sphere, designated as a retirement garden for honoured heroes. It functions as a resort world, and admission to its rest is intended for those who have earned distinction in the service of the Empire.

Orbital batteries are positioned above Au’taal. The T’au Empire maintains this defence because it guards its elders closely, and the presence of such installations reflects the value placed on the sept’s residents.

Other T’au regard the cadres of Au’taal as lazy, a view that reflects the sept’s association with retirement and leisure. Their aircraft nevertheless have a reputation for remaining in service longer than might be expected.
