Avellorn

Avellorn is a hive world in the Segmentum Solar that the Iron Warriors attacked during the Horus Heresy. It is a separate location from Avalorn. Avalorn lies in the Pacificus compliance, where a duel between the Alpha Legion and the Imperial Fists was halted by the Emperor.

The Codex lists Avellorn as a hive that the IV Legion, the Iron Warriors, once captured. The Scouring timeline records a Battle of Avellorn in 016.M31, in which loyalist forces returned to the world. By then the Legion of Perturabo had already devastated it with forests of razorwire and methodical siege calculation.

Avellorn’s standing rests on its record as an Iron Warriors hive. Unofficial summaries keep its parent as the Segmentum Solar, and this record follows them. It does not attribute Avalorn’s duel to Avellorn, and it does not reassign Avellorn to the Sabbat Worlds.
