Carinae System

The Carinae System is a star system with no planets, notable only for the Thousand Moons of Carinae, a cluster of immense void-cities remaining from a power long since lost to Mankind. Its isolationist inhabitants, governed by the Carinae Sodality, refused to acknowledge the Emperor’s authority. During the Great Crusade the Raven Guard under Corax and the Night Lords under Konrad Curze reduced the moons one void-city at a time in what became known as the Carinae Retribution; an anima-phage was released upon the void-city Zenith-312. The campaign is recorded as having run some seven months beyond its anticipated duration.
