Ceres
Ceres is a dwarf planet in the inner asteroid belt of the Sol system, between Mars and Jupiter, that serves as a vox-relay and mining-habitat hub. It lies within the Sol system’s inner belt, the region of asteroids between the orbits of the two planets.
During the Nemesis era, traffic in the system used the stations of Ceres to communicate across interplanetary distances by vox relay. Belter coalitions, the groups organised around the asteroid belt, worked the asteroids surrounding the body.
Ceres combines a communications function with a mining function within a single location, and its position between Mars and Jupiter places both at the centre of the inner belt. For the purposes of this catalogue, the body is recorded under the kind “moon”, although it is a dwarf planet.
