Corinthe

Corinthe is a hive and forge world of the Ultima Segmentum that faced Hive Fleet Moloch in 747.M41. A hive world is a planet whose population is concentrated in vast urban hive cities, and a forge world is one devoted to industrial manufacture. Corinthe combines both roles. It is also recorded under the name Corinth and belongs to the Corinth system.

In 747.M41 the world came under threat from Hive Fleet Moloch, a Tyranid fleet, and from the genestealer hulk Bringer of Sorrow. The threat from the hulk ended when the Deathwing, the elite formation of the Dark Angels Space Marine Chapter, destroyed its plasma drives.

Corinthe is chiefly recorded for this engagement against Hive Fleet Moloch and the Bringer of Sorrow. It should not be confused with the Corinthian Crusade against Skargor, which was a separate conflict fought elsewhere.
