Donia Magna System

The Donia Magna System is the home system of Lord Solar Macharius, in the Cytheris Sub-sector, and the origin of the Macharian Crusade. After the crusade it was renamed for Macharius, who came to be venerated as a saint. This site records its child location as Macharia (macharia-1771), which is distinct from the Cadian hive of the same name.

The Macharian Crusade began in this system. Macharius’s body was later returned to it, and the Lord of Light remains in orbit as a reliquary.

Pilgrims continue to fund a wealthy shrine world on the original Donia territory. The system retains its standing as the birthplace of the crusade. Unofficial summaries keep the Cytheris Sub-sector as its parent and do not merge this Macharia with the Cadian location.
