D’yanoi

D’yanoi, a name meaning “twin moons”, is a T’au twilight world of the First Sphere, locked so that full daylight never arrives.

A fierce space storm severed the colony from outside contact for several years. When communication was restored, its inhabitants remained rustic by T’au standards. The colony subsequently endured Ork invasions and attacks by ancient reptilian beasts, both of which sought to destroy it.

D’yanoi is therefore recorded as a colony shaped by isolation and repeated threats to its survival. It also lies close to the nest-worlds of the Vespid, which are situated only a few light-years to the south.
