Enothis airfields

The Enothis airfields were a network of Imperial Navy air bases on Enothis, active during the Sabbat Worlds Crusade’s aerial campaign for the world. They served as the operational foundation for the Imperium’s contested effort to secure and hold Enothan airspace against determined Archenemy resistance.

From these installations, fighter and bomber wings of the Imperial Navy, including Phantine aerial forces, flew sustained sorties in defence of Imperial ground operations and against enemy incursions seeking to reclaim the world. The airfields functioned as forward staging points, refuelling and rearming stations, and command posts for the squadrons prosecuting the air war, coordinating closely with Guard and Phantine ground formations engaged elsewhere on Enothis.

The fighting for control of the airfields and the skies above them is remembered as one of the more sustained air campaigns of the Sabbat Worlds Crusade, illustrating the Imperium’s dependence on combined air and ground operations in the broader reconquest of the Sabbat Worlds.
