Epsion Octarius

Epsion Octarius is a swamp-and-jungle world in the Segmentum Solar, south of Catachan, that exports ore, food and Crotalids. It is a human trade world and is distinct from Octarius, the Overfiend’s capital in the Segmentum Ultima. This catalogue places it under epsion-octarius-system in Sector Solar.

Catachan Jungle Fighters spent forty days in its wetlands campaigning against the Gargant yards of Warlord Grubnuk. Gargants are the large walking war machines of the Orks, and Grubnuk later painted his walkers green with red bandanas in honour of his opponents. The world launched three Ork migrations within two decades, and cartographers consequently came to describe it as the Overfiend’s home. Epsion Octarius exports to Jurn and imports tools. A variant Epsilon spelling survives in octarius-sector, whereas this entry refers to the Epsion location in the Segmentum Solar.

Epsion Octarius remains notable as the Solar namesake swamp world and is not to be identified with Gargates. This catalogue keeps its system parent in Sector Solar and does not assign it the war against Kryptman’s Leviathan, which belongs to octarius. Nor does it re-parent the location into Ultima.
