Europa

Europa is a Galilean moon of Jupiter that the Imperium geo-engineered from an ice moon into an ocean world. The Galilean moons are the four largest satellites of the planet. This alteration is associated with the period of the Horus Heresy.

The moon lies within Jupiter’s radiation well, the region of intense radiation surrounding the planet, together with the other shipyards of the system. Shipyard traffic and habitats share its orbit.

Europa is therefore both an engineered world and part of the orbital infrastructure of the Jovian system. The name also designates a region of Terra, and the two should not be confused. The entry here concerns the moon of Jupiter.
