Graia

Graia is a forge world of the Adeptus Mechanicus, known as the Crown of Miracles for the density of its manufactorums and the Titans raised in its yards. The planet lies in the Belt of Iron and is devoted to the construction and repair of the Collegia Titanica’s god-engines, together with the wider output of a major Mechanicus forge — munitions, armoured vehicles and the machine-rites that sustain Imperial war on a continental scale.

In the early forty-first millennium Graia became the theatre of a major Ork invasion that overran large parts of the surface and threatened the Titan works themselves. Imperial reinforcement, including Space Marine intervention associated with the later chronicle of Captain Titus of the Ultramarines, restored Mechanicus control after heavy fighting among the forge-stacks and orbital platforms. The war left the world scarred but still counted among the Imperium’s principal Titan-forges.

Graia’s strategic weight rests on that Titan production and on its place in the Belt of Iron’s network of forge worlds. Allied Legio support and Skitarii defence cohorts are attested in campaign summaries tied to the planet, and its manufactorums remain a standing concern of both the Adeptus Mechanicus and the Segmentum commands that draw on its output.
