Hubris Cryotombs

The Hubris Cryotombs form a cryogenic tomb complex within the Hubris system, associated with the massacre attributed to Inquisitor Tuomas Eyclone. The site is remembered chiefly through accounts of the Eisenhorn cycle, in which the complex’s frozen vaults and interred remains feature as a locus of horror connected to the daemonhost later known as Cherubael.

According to these accounts, Eyclone, once an officer of the Holy Ordos, is held responsible for the deaths of those interred or stationed within the cryotombs, an atrocity that left the complex’s chambers strewn with the frozen dead. The precise circumstances of the massacre, and the fate of Eyclone himself, remain obscure outside the narrative in which they are recorded, and no independent Administratum record of the incident is known to survive.

The Hubris Cryotombs are not otherwise attested as a site of strategic or archeotech significance, and their continued existence, condition, and accessibility following the events described are unrecorded.
