Iocanthos

Iocanthos is a war-world in the Calixis Sector whose principal export is Ghostfire pollen, used in penal combat drugs. The planet has no other significant export.

Warlords on Iocanthos harvest the Ghostfire flower and trade the pollen to the Administratum in return for weapons. Political authority follows the harvest: the warlord who gathers the largest crop becomes the de facto governor of the world. During the Angevin Crusade, Drusus took the planet in a week.

The Abbey of the Dawn continues to train Battle Sisters on Iocanthos. The world’s standing rests on two things: its single export, which supplies the penal combat drugs, and the abbey’s continued presence.
