Jouran is a green civilised capital whose noble houses send first-born into the PDF and treat a Guard commission as family scripture, recorded in a hall of heroes. The famous tithe is the Jouran Dragoons, Chimera-borne mechanised infantry who pour through gaps tank regiments punch. Sister worlds do the rest of the work: hot industrial Jouran III builds the hulls and supplies most troopers, agri-world Jouran V is a carnosaur park for the same aristocrats.
