Kar Duniash

Kar Duniash is the segmentum fortress and naval academy of Ultima Segmentum, and the shipyard that builds Dominator cruisers. It serves as the principal fortress of its segmentum and combines training and shipbuilding functions at a single location.

The Great Rift left the fortress within Imperium Nihilus, close to the T’au Fifth Sphere. Maps record the name in variant spellings, including Kar Dunlash and Kara Dunlash; these refer to the same fortress.

Command authority for the galactic east is, in theory, still vested in Kar Duniash. Its standing rests on this formal role, together with its naval academy and its production of Dominator cruisers.
