Kaurava IV

Kaurava IV is a rural world in the outer part of its system, where a warp storm and a Chaos warband arrived together. It is distinct from Stubbs’s capital world and from the Necron desert world of similar name, and is the Kaurava associated with Chaos and Drukhari activity.

The storm and the warband reached the planet at the same time and, within a very short period, destroyed roughly half of the Imperial strength in the system. During the same campaign, Dark Eldar (Drukhari) raiders occupied the moon Lacunae and used its ancient webway gate, an entrance to the Aeldari network of passages outside ordinary space, as a base for raiding.

The world therefore records two separate hostile forces acting in one campaign: Chaos forces on the planet and Drukhari raiders operating from its moon. The relationship between the warp storm and the traitors is left unresolved in the account, which does not state whether the storm produced the warband’s arrival, the warband produced the storm, or the two coincided.
