Kimdaria

Kimdaria is a Tempestus knight world, colonised by House Mortan, that lay beneath a dense gloom known as the Black Pall. The pall was thick enough that the colonists learned to fight the world’s beasts in darkness.

The shroud thinned in the late thirty-fifth millennium (M35). The Imperium then rediscovered Kimdaria as a walled world of perpetual night, on which patrols were still being run from the stronghold of Blackcrag.

House Mortan remained loyal to the Imperium throughout the Horus Heresy. Kimdaria’s record thus combines a long period of adaptation to darkness with unbroken allegiance to the Imperium.
