Kolossi

Kolossi is a planet in the Ultima Segmentum, also known by the alternative name Korvosi. It is recorded as the knight world of House Raven, one of the noble Questor Imperialis households sworn to field Imperial Knights in the Emperor’s service.

As a knight world, Kolossi’s society is organised around the martial aristocracy of House Raven, whose scions are raised from childhood to the rite of piloting the great bipedal war engines that give such worlds their strategic value. In common with other knight worlds of the Ultima Segmentum, Kolossi’s nobility holds its lances in readiness, committing them not as a standing garrison but as a reserve of armoured strength to be pledged when the wider segmentum calls upon them.

Detailed accounts of Kolossi’s individual campaigns and of House Raven’s specific engagements are not widely recorded, and the planet’s place among the contemporaries and conflicts of the Ultima Segmentum remains sparsely documented. What is attested is its standing as a knight world proper, a category of planet whose households are typically summoned to fight alongside Astra Militarum regiments and Adeptus Mechanicus forces during the larger Imperial campaigns of their segmentum, lending their war engines to battles whose full record lies beyond what is presently known of Kolossi itself.
