Landunder

Landunder is a Malfian hive whose crust floats on a chemical ocean, with eight cities suspended beneath it. A ninth city, Subrique, projects a spire both above the waterline and almost to the seabed.

Landunder was colonised in 450.M39. Firearms are prohibited there because a stray shot can damage the structure of a hive. The inhabitants, known as Landrians, therefore settle disputes with named blades.

Landunder supplies ocean chemicals to Malfi and the Lathes. Its surface is caustic and lifeless, and Tech-Priests continue to regard it as a death world (a planet whose environment is inimical to human life) rather than a true hive world.
