Lyubov
Lyubov is a Sabbat hive described as a transcontinental nexus, occupied for decades until Carnhide’s arrival in 778.M41. The hive city is also referred to as Lyubovhive.
Carnhide came to Lyubov with a plan that gave primacy to air power, a choice that attracted controversy. The Imperial force comprised some thirty thousand aircraft and a hundred Titans, and it breached the defences at Kazenburg and Zinc Hill. Resistance in Lyubovhive ended only when Kasrkin troops killed Araek Etogaur.
The victory did not secure Carnhide’s position. Cybon’s faction pursued Carnhide after the campaign, and Carnhide died by suicide. The liberation of Lyubov is therefore recorded both for the scale of its air-first assault and for the fate of the officer who directed it.
