Maccabeus Quintus

Maccabeus Quintus is a shrine in the Drusus Marches, the site where Lord Militant Drusus was cut down during the Angevin Crusade and later returned. It is associated with the Maccabian Janissaries and with the Black Order.

Drusus was cut down at the shrine in the course of the Angevin Crusade. After ten days he walked back, bearing the Emperor’s light. Pilgrims continue to travel to the site, and the most accomplished of them become Maccabian Janissaries.

The Black Order maintains its house at Maccabeus Quintus. Discipline is the local form of worship, and this practice distinguishes the shrine from other places of pilgrimage.
