Malfian System

The Malfian System is a rimward system of the Calixis Sector, containing a hive world of twenty-three billion inhabitants that never became the sector capital. A hive world is a planet whose population is concentrated in vast, multi-tiered urban structures.

Angevin commanders established their headquarters in the system. Scintilla subsequently assumed the role of sector capital. Malfian lodges continue to found cults across the Calixis Sector. Landunder and the other worlds of the Malfian Sub-sector contribute to this activity.

The system retains standing as a secondary centre of authority within Calixis, and it is sometimes described as the sector’s other seat of power. Unofficial summaries identify it as the parent system of the Malfian Sub-sector.
