Minos

Minos is an ancient star fort sited at a Webway junction in the Ormeus System, within the Tempestus region of the Caligari Sector. The junction is frequented by Drukhari, whose raiders use it as a crossing between the webway and realspace, making the fort a point of recurring contact between the Imperium and the denizens of the dark city.

In its history, Minos drew waves of wealthy refugees seeking shelter within its ancient structure. Overcrowding bred crime, and recreational massacres among the population are recorded as having become frequent enough to draw the attention of the Inquisition, which ultimately carried out a purge of the fort.

Imperial control over Minos remains incomplete even after that purge: whole decks of the star fort are recorded as lying beyond the reach of its Imperial authorities, a legacy of the lawlessness that took hold during the years of overcrowding.

Minos is sometimes confused with the Minotaurs, a distinction owed only to the similarity of the names. That Space Marine Chapter is fleet-based, operating from the starship Daedelos Krata, and has no attested connection to the star fort.
