New Catachan

New Catachan is an Imperial world in the galactic core, situated among Leagues of Votann holdings, and is distinct from the death world of Catachan. It shares a name with that world but is not a second homeworld of the Catachan Jungle Fighters.

Codex maps place New Catachan among the Ymyr Conglomerate, the Greater Thurian League and the Ghulo Industrial Complex, with Kin Holds (the settlements of the Leagues of Votann) on every side. The sources do not explain why it bears the name of Catachan, and no founding charter linked to the Jungle Fighters is attached to it. This map retains its parent location in the Ultima Segmentum.

New Catachan matters as an Imperial name on the border of the galactic core, and it should not be read as a duplicate of Catachan. Catachan’s jungle-world dossier is recorded under that world’s own entry. The published material also describes no annexation of New Catachan by the Leagues of Votann.
