Perfidium

Perfidium is a shrine world maintained for the veneration of the Imperial dead, its surface dominated by mausolea, processional avenues and the great reliquary structure known as the Templum Incarnadus. Pilgrims and remembrancers travel to Perfidium from across the sector to pay tribute at its monuments, and the world’s custodians maintain its grounds against the encroachment of the surrounding wilderness. Perfidium became the site of a notable duel late in the 41st millennium, when a Space Wolf hunting the Khornate champion responsible for the death of a Great Company’s Wolf Lord traced his quarry to the shrine world’s precincts. The combat ranged through the Templum Incarnadus itself before concluding atop its heights. The world’s religious character and distance from major warzones have otherwise kept it free of large-scale conflict, and it continues to serve as a place of mourning and remembrance.
