Phyrr

Phyrr is a Calixis death world whose environment is lethal to any life that is not native to it. Viewed from orbit, the planet has the appearance of a jewel, a quality that conceals the hazard of its surface.

Spores on Phyrr are toxic to non-native organisms, and a handful is sufficient to reduce a human being to liquid within an hour. The Adeptus Mechanicus harvests these toxins at a penal harvest-station on the planet. It maintains the spaceport on one of Phyrr’s moons, so that arriving and departing vessels do not use the surface.

Phyrr is a source of toxins for the Mechanicus and is administered as a site of penal labour. It should not be confused with Phyr, a separate location that is a daemon-world.
