Piscina V

Piscina V is a volcanic death world, shrouded in cloud, from which the Dark Angels recruit aspirants once in each generation. A death world is a planet whose natural conditions are lethal to the people who live on it.

The planet’s old mining cities were wrecked by quakes during the Age of Strife. The survivors reverted to feral tribes, who now live beneath skies darkened by ash. The Dark Angels visit at intervals of roughly one generation to select aspirants from these tribes.

The Ork wars and the plot concerning Cypher and the keep are located mainly on the neighbouring world of Piscina IV, not on Piscina V. Piscina V is significant as the recruiting world that supplies the garrison on Piscina IV.
