Pyran

Pyran is a civilised world in the Armageddon subsector, governed as a caste pyramid of plebeians, nobles and an Administratum-appointed governor. The Administratum is the Imperial bureaucracy responsible for the administration of Imperial worlds.

Pyran’s society is arranged in ranked tiers. The plebeians form the base of the pyramid and the nobles stand above them. The governor is selected by the Administratum from among the greater houses. Service in the Pyran Dragoons is the means by which members of every caste measure their standing.

Pyran is notable chiefly for this combination of a rigid social hierarchy and a shared military institution. Its significance rests on its internal order and on the Dragoons, not on the conflict affecting the wider Armageddon region.
