Raisa

Raisa is a forest world in the Segmentum Tempestus, governed by House Cadmus from Golem Keep. Forest canopy covers the whole surface of the planet except the plateaux on which its keeps stand.

House Cadmus holds an annual event known as the Cull, which reduces the numbers of the feral abhuman tribes of Raisa (human populations that have diverged from the baseline human form) rather than exterminating them. The house sustained heavy losses at Gryphonne IV in the war against Hive Fleet Leviathan. Afterwards, Baron Roland released the house from its allegiance to Mars and pledged it to Terra.

Two features distinguish Raisa’s government: the Cull, which controls the abhuman population without eliminating it, and the house’s allegiance to Terra, established under Baron Roland in place of its former allegiance to Mars.
