Sacris

Sacris is a feudal world of swamps and moorland in the Calixis Sector, and the recruiting ground of the Storm Wardens. Its society is organised into clans, which duel with heirloom claymores, a form of large two-handed sword.

The Storm Wardens observe the planet from its moon, Highcastle. Following an episode known as the Nemesis Incident, the Chapter placed Sacris under quarantine, enforced by plague-beacons. The order was given by Owin Glendwyr.

Sacris therefore holds a dual standing: it supplies the Chapter with recruits, yet it remains closed off by the Chapter’s own decree. The reason for Glendwyr’s order is no longer known, even to the Storm Wardens themselves.
