Saint Kiodrus Catacombs

The Saint Kiodrus Catacombs are a subterranean tomb-complex on the shrine world of Lethe XI, within the Thracian Primaris system. Excavated beneath the world’s surface, the catacombs are consecrated to the memory of Saint Kiodrus and serve as a place of interment and pilgrimage within the Imperial Creed’s local observances, their galleries lined with the remains of the pious dead and the reliquaries associated with the saint’s cult.

The catacombs are attested chiefly for their role in the investigation conducted by Inquisitor Gregor Eisenhorn during his pursuit of the heretic known as Murder and associated agents of Chaos, an episode recounted in the early history of his career. It was within this subterranean setting that Eisenhorn’s enquiries intersected with the trail of Beldame Sadia, a figure implicated in the wider conspiracy he was tasked with unravelling, drawing his retinue into the catacombs’ close and shadowed passages.

As with many sites bound up in Eisenhorn’s clandestine investigations, the catacombs are known primarily through the fragmentary record of that pursuit rather than through any broader public account, and their subsequent status has not been widely documented.
